My son Whit and I competed in the Spirit Ridge, Vortex Extreme invitational this past weekend. The staffs of both Spirit Ridge and Vortex treated us like kings and were very generous. We learned a lot about the Sport, as it was our first time, and found out that we need more practice shooting which works out great because we have plans to come back as often as we can. After spending a weekend shooting the Vortex Extreme at Spirit Ridge, I can’t say enough about the course and the top notch guys running it. Any hunter who’s even considered the possibility of shooting at game beyond 300 yards in real world western hunting conditions should shoot this course. If you pay attention, you’ll be surprised how much you can learn in four hours. The golf scoring twist is just icing on the cake which allows for some friendly competition with your shooting buddies. Great fun and educational to boot!
